RTC is a Houston-based MSP. We're hiring a Helpdesk Engineer to work out of our Houston office (5 minutes from Hobby Airport) and cover client sites across the metro. The role Roughly 4 days a week onsite at clients, 1 day remote — but it flexes based on what clients need. Some weeks are heavier onsite, some lighter. When you're in our Houston office, you'll be doing laptop prep, imaging, and staging for deployments. Day-to-day: Onsite support at client offices — desktop, network, printer, user issues Laptop imaging and prep at our Houston office Deployments, moves/adds/changes, hardware refreshes Escalating what you can't solve, owning what you can You should have 1–3 years in IT — MSP, helpdesk, field services, or internal IT Solid on Windows, M365, basic networking (switches, APs, VLANs), endpoint troubleshooting Valid driver's license and reliable car Comfortable working independently at client sites and representing us well Willing to occasionally lift 50 lbs, get on a ladder, run a cable Nice to have CompTIA A+/Network+/Security+, Microsoft, or Cisco/Meraki certs SonicWall, Meraki, or Aruba hands-on Prior MSP experience Our stack PSA: HaloPSA RMM: NinjaOne Remote support: ScreenConnect Security: Huntress, SentinelOne Backup: Acronis Documentation: Hudu Firewalls: SonicWall & Meraki Switching & WiFi: Meraki & Aruba Instant On Productivity: M365 Training & ramp First month is hand-in-hand with an experienced tech — learning our tooling, processes, and communication style. Around week 2 you'll start taking tickets with support, and we'll ramp your independence from there based on how you're doing.
